The Company
Our client is a FMCG business with global operations, spanning a dynamic and growing group of companies that brings quality food products to consumers at scale. They take their environmental and social responsibilities seriously, backing that commitment with dedicated leadership. Their ESG program is maturing rapidly, with real regulatory obligations, genuine executive support and a culture that values doing the right thing. Due to an exciting period of growth, they are looking for a Sustainability leader to join their business based in Melbourne.

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role sitting at the centre of our ESG program. You'll own the delivery of our sustainability strategy end-to-end from mandatory climate-related financial disclosures under AASB S2, to running our ethical supplier assurance program and Modern Slavery obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

You'll maintain ongoing tracking of ESG metrics and progress against targets, oversee Environmental Management Systems, and manage third-party consultants and climate reporting tools. You'll also conduct modern slavery risk assessments and coordinate the Modern Slavery Statement in line with legislative requirements. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence across local and global teams, senior leaders, and key external ESG partners and advisors.

Your Background
You're an experienced sustainability professional who brings:
  • A minimum of 4 years in a dedicated sustainability role.
  • Experience working in a FMCG business ideally.
  • Proven hands-on experience with climate disclosure frameworks: AASB S2, TCFD and/or ISSB.
  • Experience preparing or contributing to Modern Slavery Statements
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to interpret ESG and climate data and communicate it clearly to non-technical audiences.
What's on Offer
If you are looking to join an exciting brand during a period of growth, with the opportunity to shape the sustainability program across multiple business units and geographies, we would love to hear from you.
