About the Role

This is a hands-on hydrogeology role with genuine variety — urban contaminated land, dewatering design for major construction projects, and groundwater investigations across NSW. You'll work across full project lifecycles with real autonomy, direct access to experienced mentors, and the opportunity to build your technical profile quickly in a growing consultancy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Groundwater investigations, monitoring network design, and water quality assessment

- Field supervision: drilling programs, pump and slug testing, aquifer characterisation

- Dewatering design support and technical reporting for construction and development projects

- Preparation of hydrogeological reports, conceptual site models, and regulatory submissions

- Integrated site assessments alongside contaminated land scientists

- Growing client-facing responsibilities as your confidence and capability develops

What You'll Bring

- 3–7 years' experience in hydrogeology, ideally within environmental or engineering consulting

- Degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, or a related discipline

- Solid grounding in groundwater assessment methodology and relevant Australian guidelines

- Practical field experience including drilling supervision, groundwater sampling, and aquifer testing

- Clear, confident written communication — you can make complex science readable

- A collaborative mindset and genuine curiosity about environmental problems
