About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist (Embryologist) to join our team in a pivotal role that directly impacts patient outcomes and experiences.

Alongside your core responsibilities, there is an opportunity for candidates who are interested in further developing their leadership capability to step into a 10-month parental leave Laboratory Supervisor role. This opportunity will provide exposure to leadership, mentoring, and operational oversight, supported by the QLD Scientific Director.

In your core position, you will deliver high-quality embryology and andrology services in a patient-centric, high-performing laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional patient care and laboratory service standards
• Perform ART procedures including IVF, ICSI, embryo culture and cryopreservation
• Perform embryo biopsy (highly desirable)
• Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

For those electing to undertake the Laboratory Supervisor opportunity, additional responsibilities will include:

• Supporting day-to-day laboratory operations
• Mentoring and developing team members
• Contributing to training and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

You are a passionate and experienced embryologist who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment. You bring both technical excellence and a genuine commitment to patient care.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Postgraduate qualification in Biological or Health Science (RTAC compliant for Supervisor Role)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical embryology
• Strong expertise across ART procedures (IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, cryopreservation, and andrology)
• Solid understanding of ART legislation and RTAC Code of Practice
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience - For Laboratory Supervisor – 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience in embryo biopsy (preferred)
