RemBind is an Australian-owned manufacturer of PFAS and environmental contaminant remediation products, with active distribution across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Our products are used at full commercial scale on some of the most complex contaminated sites in the world. Demand is growing fast, and we need people who can keep up.
This is a hands-on laboratory technician role. You will be working in a practical, fast-moving environment where the work is physical, the materials are real, and attention to detail is non-negotiable.
We work with contaminated soils, mixed-media products, and environmental samples. This is a dirty lab environment. If you are used to clean-room or purely analytical work, this role is not for you. If you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves, handling bulk materials, and getting the job done accurately and efficiently, read on.
You will support treatability trials, manage sample workflows, maintain QA/QC records, and ensure laboratory operations run smoothly day to day. You will work closely with the technical team and play a direct role in ensuring the quality of RemBind product applications.
Preparing and handling soil, water, and mixed-media samples for treatability trials
Supporting product mixing, dosing, and application testing in laboratory conditions
Receiving, logging, and tracking samples and chain of custody documentation
Maintaining QA/QC records and ensuring procedures are followed consistently
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
Coordinating with external laboratories on sample dispatch, turnaround times, and data quality
Interpreting and summarising analytical results to support the technical team
Keeping the laboratory clean, stocked, and compliant with OHS requirements
Identifying and flagging process issues or data anomalies promptly
We are not looking for a PhD. We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised, reliable, and capable of working in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment.
Practical laboratory experience in a field, environmental, or materials-based setting
Comfortable working with soils, bulk materials, and environmental samples (dirty lab experience)
Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, chain of custody, and sample management
Capable of working independently and managing competing tasks without close supervision
High attention to detail and consistent approach to documentation and record keeping
Adaptable and able to handle a varied workload in a small team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with PFAS, hydrocarbon, or contaminated site samples is an advantage, not a requirement
A formal qualification in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. It is not mandatory. Demonstrated practical experience will be weighted heavily.
What matters most is that you know how to work in a real laboratory, can follow and maintain rigorous QA/QC processes, and are not put off by hands-on, physical work.
Full-time, permanent role based in Adelaide, SA
Direct involvement in a globally recognised remediation technology
A small, experienced team where your contribution is visible and valued
Competitive salary based on experience
