An established financial services organisation is seeking a System Administrator to join its technology team, providing Level 2 support across critical business applications and platforms.

Working closely with infrastructure, development and business teams, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex incidents, maintaining system stability, supporting deployments, and driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for business-critical applications
• Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues and system defects
• Monitor application and system health
• Investigate logs, integrations and database-related issues
• Support deployments, patching and configuration activities
• Execute SQL queries and assist with root cause analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
• Maintain support documentation and knowledge articles
• Participate in an on-call support roster

About You

• 3+ years' experience in System Administration, Application Support or Infrastructure Operations
• Strong Windows Server experience
• SQL skills and experience investigating database issues
• Experience troubleshooting applications in production environments
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash or similar)
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing platforms such as Jira
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

• Azure or AWS exposure
• ITIL knowledge
• CI/CD or DevOps exposure
• Financial services, lending, banking or fintech experience
