Join an exciting, engineering-led technology start-up building complex backend systems from the ground up. They are looking for both senior and principal engineers ideally from a background in Golang and/or Python and strong background in Cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, shaping architecture, and delivering high-impact projects in a fast-moving startup environment.

You’ll work closely with the founding team and senior engineers to design and build scalable backend platforms, lead projects from concept through to deployment.

You will work on very complex architectural and scalability challenges across modern cloud environments as you build reliable, secure, fault-tolerant backend systems

You will bring:

• 8+ years’ backend software engineering experience

• Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working on ambiguous technical challenges

• Experience with performance, scalability, resilience, security, and fault-tolerant architecture

• Strong code quality mindset and experience conducting detailed code reviews

• Comfortable working in a startup or fast-moving product environment

• Python or Go experience is ideal, but strong backend engineers from other languages will be considered

PR or Australian (or NZ) Citizens will be considered only for these roles. These roles are hybrid with 3 days onsite and rest WFH so you must be in Sydney to be considered.
