The Opportunity

Kalfresh is expanding its IT capability and is seeking expressions of interest from IT professionals across a range of experience levels and specialisations. Rather than advertising for a single fixed role, we want to hear from talented people first and then shape our team around the right candidates.

Our primary site is Kalbar (one hour south-west of Brisbane in the Scenic Rim), with options to be based at our Bowen facility or our Brisbane CBD office depending on the role. We are open to discussing working arrangements, including hybrid options, with the right candidates.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in hearing from people with skills and experience across any of the following areas:

1. General IT Support & Infrastructure

• Desktop support and troubleshooting

• Networking – switches, routers, VPNs, wireless

• Printer and peripheral management

• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD/Entra ID)

• SharePoint configuration and support

• Hardware lifecycle management and IT asset tracking

• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff

2. Microsoft Power Platform

• Power Automate – designing workflows and automating business processes

• Power BI – developing dashboards and reports for business stakeholders

• Power Apps – building and maintaining canvas and model-driven applications

• Power Pages and Power Virtual Agents (advantageous)

• An understanding of governance, licensing and best-practice deployment in a business environment

3. Advanced Power BI Reporting

• Designing, building and maintaining sophisticated Power BI reports and datasets

• Data modelling, DAX authoring and performance tuning in Power BI

• ETL processes and data pipeline experience

• Translating business requirements into clear reporting solutions

• Experience working with agricultural, production or operational data highly regarded

4. Automation & AI (Emerging Focus)

We are beginning to explore how AI and intelligent automation can add value across our farming, processing and administrative operations. If you have experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, automation scripting, or applying AI tools in a practical business context, we want to hear from you.
