The Role 

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a product-focused technology business and play a key role in shaping work before it reaches engineering teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ambiguous ideas into clear, actionable requirements and working closely with Product Managers, Developers and Designers to ensure solutions are ready for delivery.
Importantly, this is not a traditional enterprise transformation, ERP, SAP, infrastructure or operational systems BA role. We're specifically looking for someone with experience working in software, SaaS or digital product environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead discovery activities and requirements workshops
• Translate business problems into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements
• Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and remove ambiguity
• Identify dependencies, risks, technical constraints and integration considerations early in the process
• Refine and shape work before it enters development
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and Developers to deliver customer-facing digital products
• Produce high-quality artefacts that enable engineering teams to build with confidence
• Challenge assumptions and improve the quality of incoming requirements

What We're Looking for

You'll likely have experience as a:

• Technical Business Analyst
• Product Business Analyst
• Product Analyst
• Business Analyst within a SaaS or software company

You'll bring:

• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and detailed requirements
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams
• Strong Agile delivery experience
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience supporting product discovery and backlog refinement
• Confidence challenging unclear requirements and driving better outcomes
• Exposure to APIs, integrations or modern software platforms

Highly Regarded

• SaaS or product company experience
• B2B or customer-facing software products
• Experience working alongside Product Managers and Engineering Managers
• Technical understanding of APIs, integrations and system workflows

Less Relevant Backgrounds

This role is unlikely to suit candidates whose experience is primarily focused on:

• SAP / ERP implementations
• Infrastructure projects
• Operational technology (OT)
• Mining systems
• Large-scale enterprise transformation programs
• Pure project management or delivery management roles
