As an experienced Data Modeler, you will support the design and delivery of enterprise data solutions within a complex data integration environment. This role requires a professional who can analyse poorly documented source systems, identify data quality issues, and develop scalable, business-aligned data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.

Your responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.

• Develop dimensional models including fact and dimension tables, star schemas, SCD Type 2 structures, and complex hierarchical relationships.

• Analyse source systems and profile data to identify data quality issues, business rules, and data transformation requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and reporting teams to ensure data models support organisational reporting and analytical needs.

• Document data models, data definitions, lineage, business rules, and data quality findings to support governance and long-term maintainability.

Your skills

• Advanced expertise in dimensional data modelling, including star schema design, fact and dimension modelling, SCD Type 2 implementation, and complex hierarchy modelling.

• Strong SQL skills with proven ability to analyse, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot large and complex datasets.

• Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake.

• Demonstrated experience in data profiling and data quality analysis, identifying integrity issues, grain mismatches, and data completeness gaps.

• Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with desirable experience in Medallion Architecture, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Dataverse, Python or PySpark, and Git-based source control.
