About the Role
This is not a traditional project management position - we're looking for someone who can navigate both the technical and commercial aspects of complex programs, bringing together multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and driving execution across the organisation.

You'll be responsible for leading strategic technology programs from planning through to delivery, ensuring teams remain aligned, risks are proactively managed and business objectives are achieved.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, commercially minded and technically credible, with experience delivering complex software, platform or payments-related initiatives within fast-paced technology environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Strategic Technology Programs

• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex programs across software development, payments, infrastructure and client implementations
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing priorities, resources and dependencies
• Ensure program objectives, milestones and outcomes are clearly defined and delivered
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering and Executive leaders to align delivery with business strategy

Program Governance & Delivery Excellence

• Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures and executive-level visibility
• Facilitate steering committees, program reviews and stakeholder forums
• Monitor program performance and drive accountability across teams
• Improve delivery predictability through effective planning and risk management

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure and Commercial teams
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is meaningful for business stakeholders
• Proactively manage expectations and provide transparent updates on progress, risks and outcomes
• Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and delivery teams

Risk & Dependency Management

• Identify and manage program risks, issues and dependencies
• Challenge assumptions and validate delivery plans and estimates
• Escalate critical risks with practical mitigation strategies
• Ensure regulatory, security and operational considerations are incorporated throughout delivery

Continuous Improvement

• Drive improvements across delivery frameworks, governance processes and operating models
• Support scaling initiatives as the business continues to grow
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years' experience delivering complex technology programs within fintech, payments, SaaS, software or financial services environments
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations teams
• Strong track record managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
• Experience delivering cloud-based platforms, APIs, integrations and enterprise software solutions
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and modern delivery practice
• Experience working closely with Engineering, Product and Technical teams
• Understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, integrations and distributed systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and technology delivery frameworks
• Knowledge of payments, transaction processing, financial services or fintech ecosystems is highly regarded
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities
