Security Specialist - TECH 4 | NV1 | 12 Month Contract | $140/hr
We are a specialist technology and cyber security consulting firm delivering outcomes across Defence and Federal Government. We partner with our clients to uplift capability, governance, and security posture across complex, high-assurance environments.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to support a Federal Government Department with delivery of cyber security governance, assurance, and A&A activities across a Defence program. This is a hands-on role requiring strong knowledge of Defence security frameworks and the ability to produce high-quality documentation and governance artefacts in a structured delivery environment.

- 12 month contract, $140/hr (negotiable depending on experience)
- Active NV1 clearance required
- Canberra based, Defence environment

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to support a Federal Government Department with delivery of cyber security governance, assurance, and A&A activities across a Defence program. This is a hands-on role requiring strong knowledge of Defence security frameworks and the ability to produce high-quality documentation and governance artefacts in a structured delivery environment.
Duties
- Support cyber security governance, policy, and DSPF control uplift
- Develop and maintain A&A artefacts, registers, and accreditation documentation
- Assist with ANAO remediation tracking and reporting inputs
- Contribute to business process analysis and documentation for A&A processes
- Support enterprise cyber security reporting and governance outputs
- Active NV1 security clearance
- Hands-on experience with DSPF, ISM, and A&A processes
- Proven ability to produce SSPs, SRMPs, CMPs, and related artefacts
- Experience in Defence or Federal Government cyber governance environments
- Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Competitive rate up to $140/hr, negotiable on experience
- 12 month contract with potential for extension
- Work alongside Defence and government cyber security professionals
- Canberra based with a collaborative team environment
