Summary

We are partnering with a government agency . This role sits within a technology function focused on building modern, data driven platforms that support critical digital and customer solutions.

You will join a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to a greenfield data platform initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer who enjoys building from the ground up and working with modern cloud and data technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks

• Develop and optimise data solutions on AWS, including data lakes and warehouse architectures

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality data products

• Ensure data quality, integrity and performance across pipelines and platforms

• Implement best practices for data governance, security and compliance

• Provide clear documentation and technical guidance to stakeholders

• Drive continuous improvement across data engineering processes and tooling

What We Are Looking For

• 5 - 7 years experience in data engineering or similar roles

• Strong hands on experience with Databricks and PySpark

• Proven experience working within AWS environments

• Experience building data pipelines and working with large scale datasets

• Solid understanding of data modelling and data architecture principles

• Exposure to modern data platforms including data lakes and lakehouse patterns

• Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments

• Baseline Clearance is required for this position
