We are currently seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to join a high-profile Defence program based in Adelaide, South Australia. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical national security projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on DevOps and DevSecOps experience, with the ability to design, automate, secure, and support modern cloud and infrastructure platforms while ensuring compliance with Defence security and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, security, scalability, and reliability.

• Strong experience in DevOps and DevSecOps engineering.

• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and container orchestration technologies.

• Strong Linux administration and automation experience.

• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Knowledge of security hardening, vulnerability management, and secure system design principles.

• Experience working within Defence, Government, or highly regulated environments.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold an Australian Government Security Clearance. An active NV2 clearance is highly desirable; however, candidates holding NV1 clearance with the ability to obtain NV2 may also be considered.
