As a result of a secured engagement with one of our Defence/National Security industry partners, Helix requires an Exchange Engineer to join this top tier defence industry client. 

This will be a 6-month contract role with extensions based in Sydney. 

*NV2 clearance is a minimum requirement for this environment. 

Position Overview

The Exchange Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Exchange environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based solutions. 

Technical Skill
Strong experience with:

• Microsoft Exchange Server
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Hybrid Exchange environments
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Microsoft Defender for Office 365

Knowledge of:

• SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Windows Server administration
• Identity and access management
• High availability and disaster recovery solutions

Experience

• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments.
• Experience with Exchange migrations and Microsoft 365 adoption projects.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in enterprise messaging environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale user environments preferred.
