The Why:

The GenAI Platform Lead is responsible for designing and evolving Ubank’s GenAI platform on AWS Bedrock. This role focuses on building a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly AI platform that enables teams to deliver production-grade AI solutions.
As the technical authority for GenAI, you will solve complex engineering problems across LLM integration, system performance, and platform design, while ensuring systems are safe, secure, and fit for a regulated environment by design.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture for the GenAI platform on AWS Bedrock
• Design and build core platform capabilities including RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, and model integrations
• Establish reusable patterns and abstractions that enable teams to develop AI features quickly and consistently
• Lead the design of scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient AI systems
• Implement and evolve MLOps practices including versioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Build observability and evaluation capabilities to track model performance, quality, and usage
• Define and enforce engineering standards and guardrails for AI systems covering performance, safety, and reliability
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams through design guidance and hands-on contribution
• Partner with risk and security stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are embedded into platform design and automation

Your Experience

• 10+ years experience in platform, backend, or distributed systems engineering
• Experience building or operating AI/ML, data, or platform systems in production
• Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms (Bedrock, SageMaker desirable)
• Practical knowledge of LLMs, RAG architectures, or modern AI tooling
• Strong fundamentals in system design, APIs, and scalable architecture
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and production operations
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and lead through engineering expertise
• Experience in regulated environments or building systems with embedded security, risk, and compliance considerations (desirable)
