About The Role
This is a senior hands-on engineering role where you'll take ownership of Microsoft infrastructure, hybrid identity, Microsoft 365 services and security technologies. You'll be involved in both project delivery and operational support while helping drive platform improvements, automation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Windows Server environments
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, AD FS, Certificate Services and DFS
• Administer and optimise Hyper-V environments including clustering and high availability
• Support SQL Server environments including performance, patching and backup strategies
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online

Teams and OneDrive

• Administer Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Management and Windows Autopilot
• Manage hybrid identity across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Design and maintain Conditional Access policies and Zero Trust controls
• Support Microsoft Defender, security monitoring and remediation activities
• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview including DLP, retention, compliance and information protection
• Drive automation, platform optimisation and operational improvements
• Maintain technical documentation, standards and procedures

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' experience in Microsoft Systems Engineering
• Strong experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 environments
• Advanced Active Directory and hybrid identity administration
• Proven Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Strong Intune and Endpoint Management experience
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and security operations
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview and compliance frameworks
• Hyper-V administration and troubleshooting experience
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience with ACSC Essential Eight, CIS Benchmarks or Zero Trust frameworks
• Experience delivering infrastructure and cloud projects
• Experience managing enterprise-scale Microsoft environments
