Senior Full Stack Software Engineer  

A well-capitalised and ambitious tech start-up is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead and support critical enterprise technology services across software development, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise application operations.

WhatWhere (whatwhere.io) is an early-stage platform that combines an online booking and customer management system with a meta-search feature. It empowers users to publish, discover, offer, and book services seamlessly.

Sydney based, hybrid role. $150-$180k package.

The Role

This role will see you working across the full software development lifecycle, building robust backend services while developing responsive frontend experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Javascript

• Develop and maintain AWS backend services

• Work across both frontend and backend components in a modern full-stack environment

• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and solution improvements

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and application issues

• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices

• Ensure solutions are secure, performant, maintainable, and scalable

Experience Required

• Strong commercial experience developing applications

• Solid frontend development experience using Javascript

• Experience working across full-stack application development

• Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native development

• Experience developing and consuming APIs

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design principles

• Experience with PostgreSQL Framework

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
