Cloud Engineer | Mid-Level & Senior Specialist

$370 to $500 per day including Superannuation

Altitude Recruitment is partnering with a leading consulting firm engaged by one of Australia's largest telecommunications companies to source talented Cloud Engineers for an exciting contract engagement. These roles are fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Australia.

We are currently hiring at two levels. If you are an experienced Cloud Engineer or a Senior Specialist ready to lead, we want to hear from you.

About the Roles

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to support cloud platforms that house critical applications and services. You will bring hands-on expertise across public and private cloud environments, contribute to automation and CI/CD pipelines, and help maintain operational excellence across a complex multicloud ecosystem.

As a Cloud Engineer Senior Specialist, you will step up to lead a team of Cloud Engineers, owning solution design, driving large-scale migrations, and making architectural decisions across AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud. You'll set the standard for cloud operations, governance, and DevOps practices within the engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud
• Monitor platforms, prevent and resolve incidents, and maintain high availability
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (Terraform, scripting)
• Integrate systems and support application migrations across environments
• Apply cloud security controls, identity management, cost optimisation and lifecycle governance

What we are looking for:

Cloud Engineer — Mid-Level

• Proven cloud engineering experience
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure and/or GCP
• Hands-on with CI/CD, automation and cloud monitoring tools
• Solid understanding of cloud security and cost governance

Cloud Engineer Senior Specialist

• Solid cloud engineering experience
• Proven ability to lead teams and own end-to-end solution design
• Deep multicloud expertise across public and private cloud
• Strong background in DevOps, SRE and large-scale migrations
