What you'll be working on
You'll be part of a talented and supportive team responsible for the development and evolution of a subsystem that tracks underground mining assets in real time. This technology enables operators to monitor activity underground, supports autonomous mining equipment, and helps identify potential hazards through high-precision proximity detection and advanced communications systems.
The work you do will directly contribute to safer, smarter, and more productive mining operations.
About the role
As a Product Systems Engineer, you will:
- Work closely with software, hardware, and product teams to deliver subsystem and component-level solutions
- Capture, analyse, and manage subsystem, component, and interface requirements
- Support requirements traceability and assist with gap and impact analyses
- Contribute to system architecture, solution development, and design documentation
- Participate in technical reviews and support verification and validation activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions align with customer and business needs
- Assist in maintaining systems engineering processes, standards, and documentation
- Support project and program delivery through effective planning and technical coordination
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Has approximately 3–5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, or a similar technical role
- Has experience applying structured systems engineering methodologies and practices
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Enjoys working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Has experience working with requirements management, documentation, and revision control tools
- Is organised, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities
Desirable
- Exposure to ISO 15288 or similar systems engineering frameworks
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Magic Cyber Systems Engineer or Magic System of Systems Engineer
- Experience working within embedded systems, communications, automation, mining technology, defence, transportation, or other complex engineering environments

Important Information
- Based in Perth office - 5 days a week
- Optional 9 day fortnight
- Only Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian PR will be considered for this role.
