Azure Platform Engineer | Infrastructure Specialist

Milestone IT is working with a large nationwide retail client who is looking for a seasoned Azure Platform Engineer to join a high-priority project aimed at maturing our cloud infrastructure. This isn't a "maintenance" gig—we need a contractor who can look at our current environment holistically, identify architectural gaps, and engineer robust, automated solutions.

What You’ll Deliver As a contractor, your value lies in your ability to provide immediate technical clarity. We are looking for:

• Deep Azure Fluency: You have significant, recent experience across the Azure stack. We need someone who has moved past "familiarity" and into true platform mastery.
• Problem-Solving DNA: You don't just "execute" a ticket; you look at the underlying requirement and engineer a solution that scales.
• Holistic Thinking: You understand the interconnectedness of Identity (Entra ID), Networking, and Governance. You build with the "big picture" in mind.
• High-Quality IaC: You will be expected to deliver clean, modular code (Terraform or Bicep) that adheres to best practices.

Technical Requirements

• Azure Expert: Proven experience with Azure DevOps, AKS (Kubernetes), and complex Networking (VNETs, Hub-and-Spoke, Firewall).
• Automation Specialist: Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
• Security & Governance: Experience implementing Policy-as-Code and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Experience vs. CV: We are looking for the depth of knowledge that truly reflects the years of experience on your profile.
