📢 Role: SOC Analyst - Threat Hunter

🕒 Duration: 6 month of contract 

This role is open to all candidates with full work rights.

📍 Locations: - Hybrid – 2-3 days/week in office (Sydney CBD or any other major city in Australia)

👉 Role Summary:

We’re seeking a SOC Analyst - Threat Hunter to contribute to safeguarding critical financial infrastructures against evolving cyber threats.

As a Threat Hunter, you will proactively identify, analyse, and mitigate security threats to protect sensitive data and systems. You will engage in continuous monitoring, investigate suspicious activities, and respond to security incidents to maintain robust defenses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting advanced threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.
  • Analysing security events and developing actionable insights.
  • Implementing and improving detection tools and security solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of industry experience in cyber security, including 3+ years in IR or threat hunting
  • Strong experience with Splunk, SIEM/SOAR tools and forensic fundamentals
  • Ability to interpret complex logs, malware behaviours and TTPs
  • Calm under pressure, analytical and a fast‑learner
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder skills
  • Relevant certifications (GIAC, OSCP) highly regarded
